In a truly open collaboration with Nissan’s Japanese studio we designed and developed the ‘Cube+Conran’ concept car. The car presented, at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2003, is based on the notion of ‘Wa’ – or completeness and harmony.

We see harmony not as uniformity nor blandness but a balance of opposites. The ‘Kage’ (shadow) exterior colour presents a discrete personality, maintaining the owner’s anonymity. This contrasts with the ‘Drop Dead Red’ of the interior – revealing the inner self.

We continue to share a close and long-lasting relationship with Nissan and have worked on numerous internal projects and studies.
